Moving Past Compliance Oversight to True Quality Management
The GLP, GCP and GMP regulations are an established foundation for the implementation and maintenance of quality systems. Traditionally, the Quality Assurance Professional has played an important role in the monitoring of activities for conformance with these regulations. This symposium is designed to build upon and enhance this traditional role by providing an understanding of the benefits of developing a quality management system for the purpose of quality improvement. The concepts of the Plan-Do-Check-Action Cycle (PDCA), Quality Circles, CAPA and Lean Six Sigma will be explored as tools that can be successfully used for quality improvement.
This one-day program will feature a keynote address by an internationally known expert in Continuous Process Improvement and related talks by industry experts. Additionally, case studies in the successful implementation and use of PDCA, Quality Circles, CAPA and Lean Six Sigma will be presented. Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions to gain hands-on experience in the development of or improvement of quality management systems.
