Update

The RQAP-GLP examination will be administered for the tenth consecutive year and the RQAP-GCP examination will be administered for the first time on April 28, 2007.  Both examinations will be administered at test centers in the US (Austin, TX; Philadelphia, PA; Raleigh, NC; San Francisco, CA) and Canada (Toronto, Montreal).  The deadline for applications is March 10, 2007.  For more information see the GLP Examination page or the GCP Examination page.

We extend a warm welcome to 17 new Registrants who passed the Professional Registration Examination in GLPs offered on November 13, 2006 in conjunction with the Midwest Regional Chapter Meeting in Indianapolis.

Registrants elected Guy Gardner, RQAP-GLP, to the position of Chair-Elect and Milton Marshall, RQAP-GLP to the position of GLP Member at Large.  Milton is the first person to hold the new position of GLP Member at Large.  The Council will add the new position of GCP Member at Large in 2008.  This position will be filled by election from the first group of RQAP-GCP registrants.

The Council received and reviewed 133 applications for re-registration in 2006.  We congratulate all RQAP-GLP Registrants who maintained their professional registration through participation in professional development activities.  We encourage all Registrants to periodically review the requirements for re-registration.  Registrants who qualified or re-qualified in 2004 will need to submit their re-registration applications by October 31, 2007.  Applicants who meet the re-registration criteria receive decals to place on their certificates extending their registration for another three years.  For more information pertaining to the re-registration process, see the Re-Registration page.

Registrants can earn one (1) unit of re-registration credit by attending an item writing workshop in Austin, Texas following the SQA Annual Meeting and writing ten (10) assigned items for the GLP or GCP examination.  The two-day item writing workshop will take place on May 4 and 5.  All participants must attend the training session presented by AMP on May 4.  We hope you will plan on participating.  Contact Missy Miller if you would like more information.

If you plan to sit for an RQAP examination in 2008 you will have an additional option.  Plans are being developed to offer both GLP and GCP examinations at the 2nd Global QA Conference planned for October 2008 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
