Each level of membership includes an online subscription to the Quality Assurance Journal. Membership Categories
An individual may join as either an Affiliate or Active member.
Affiliate
Affiliate members shall not vote and shall not be candidates for any election, but shall receive all tangible benefits of membership and may participate in all non-elected Committees and Specialty Sections. Affiliate members may join the Society upon completion of a membership application and payment of dues.
Affiliate Member Dues for 2010: $130
Active
Active members of the Society are eligible for election as Officers, Directors and Elected Committee members and are entitled to vote on all matters pertaining to the affairs of the Society. A completed membership application, payment of dues and additional documentation are required for approval in this category.
Active membership requirements are:
- Two years current professional experience in QA; and
- Active involvement in the QA profession; and
- Attendance at one QA meeting, or written sponsorship from two Active SQA members in good standing.
Documentation Required for Active Membership:
Documentation submitted in support of Active Membership may be verified for accuracy by the EMCC and inaccurate information may result in denial of Active Membership.
- Resume documenting two years professional experience in QA; and
- Resume documenting active involvement in the QA profession, including:
- Employment History, including duties and duration of any professional positions in QA;
- Professional Activities, including allied affiliations and activities, published articles, awards, etc.;
- Education and Training, including GCP, GLP, GMP and QA training; and
- Evidence of Attendance at quality assurance meetings
- Please provide evidence of attendance at QA meetings, such as the registration receipts, copies of your name badge showing the name of the meeting, etc. Acceptable QA meetings include those sponsored by SQA, SQA Regional Chapters or by other liaison or affiliate organizations. A syllabus must be attached for training sponsored by an organization other than SQA or any of its Chapters or Specialty Sections.

Active Member Dues for 2010: $130
Outreach
The Outreach category of membership is for qualified persons from countries identified as low or middle income by the World Bank, who demonstrate an interest in Quality Assurance. Outreach members shall not be permitted to vote or run for elected office. Outreach members shall be granted informational benefits as determined periodically by the Board of Directors. There is no charge for this category of membership. All outreach members receive complimentary access to SQA Members-Only website content.
