About SQA

The Society of Quality Assurance (SQA) is a professional membership organization dedicated to providing a forum for information exchange and utilization of knowledge in research and regulatory quality assurance, promoting the profession through leadership and effective professional relationships, enhancing knowledge of regulatory and quality assurance concerns that impact research, and fostering the highest professional standards leading to growth, development and recognition of the quality assurance profession worldwide.

The professionals in this Society are challenged to perform duties relating to quality assurance of:

  • Non-clinical laboratory studies subject to the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA);
  • Clinical studies subject to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations of the FDA and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH); and
  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) worldwide.

Current membership of the Society exceeds 2,300 Active and Affiliate members in over 30 countries working in industry, government, academia and consulting.  The Society includes general membership, special interest and administrative Committees, Regional Chapters and Specialty Sections.  If you are interested in becoming an SQA member, please visit the Membership page.
