SQA is committed to partnering with other professional organizations in an effort to facilitate collaboration and communication that promotes an exchange of information and advocates enrichment of professionals in the quality regulated industry. American Association For Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) http://www.aalas.org The American Association For Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) provides guidance for the technical, humane, and safe use of animals in a laboratory setting. Both local and national newsletters, manuals, training, and conferences are available through AALAS. Many industry professionals can or do fulfill roles such as Good Laboratory Practice inspectors and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members in their organization. American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) http://www.aapspharmaceutica.com/ The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) is a professional, scientific society of more than 12,000 members employed in academia, industry, government and other research institutes worldwide.  Founded in 1986, AAPS provides a dynamic international forum for the exchange of knowledge among scientists to enhance their contributions to public health.  AAPS offers timely scientific programs, on-going education, information resources, opportunities for networking, and professional development.

American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD) http://www.aavld.org Purpose of AAVLD: Dissemination of information relating to the diagnosis of animal diseases; Coordination of diagnostic activities of regulatory, research and service laboratories; Establishment of uniform diagnostic techniques; Improvement of existing diagnostic techniques; Development of new diagnostic techniques; Establishment of accepted guidelines for the improvement of diagnostic laboratory organizations relative to personnel qualifications and facilities; Consultant to the United States Animal Health Association on uniform diagnostic criteria involved in regulatory animal disease programs.

American Chemical Society (ACS) http://www.chemistry.org/ The American Chemical Society (ACS) is a self-governed individual membership organization that consists of more than 158,000 members at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry.  The organization provides a broad range of opportunities for peer interaction and career development, regardless of professional or scientific interests.  The programs and activities conducted by ACS today are the products of a tradition of excellence in meeting member needs that dates from the Society's founding in 1876.

American College of Toxicology http://www.actox.org/ The mission of the American College of Toxicology is to educate and lead professionals in industry, government and related areas of toxicology by actively promoting the exchange of information and perspectives on the current status of safety assessment and the application of new developments in toxicology.

American Society for Quality (ASQ) — Energy & Environmental Division http://www.asq.org/ee Members work in the fields of energy and environment, including technology and construction, power production, resource extraction and processing, environmental operations, decontamination and decommissioning, waste minimization and pollution prevention, sampling and analysis, and research and development.  The products and services developed in this division are targeted at quality, environmental, health, and safety (QEHS) professionals.

Members include providers of healthcare and services, supporters of the providers, and others allied to the field.  The Division disseminates information relating to applications, research, innovations in quality theory and practice in healthcare.  It also contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of healthcare by establishing and sustaining a vigorous education and training program.

Animal Health Institute (AHI) http://www.ahi.org/ the Animal Health Institute (AHI) represents manufacturers of animal health care products used to produce a safe supply of meat, milk, poultry and eggs, and the veterinary medicines that help pets live longer, healthier lives.

ARMA International — Association for Information Management Professionals http://www.arma.org/ ARMA International is a not-for-profit association and the leading authority on managing records and information.

Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) http://www.acrpnet.org/ The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is a primary resource for clinical research professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries, as well as those in hospital, academic medical centers, and physician office settings.

CropLife http://www.croplife.org/ CropLife International is the global federation representing the plant science industry.  It supports a network of regional and national associations and their member companies in 91 countries, and is led by companies such as BASF, Bayer CropScience, Dow Agrosciences, DuPont, FMC, Monsanto, Sumitomo and Syngenta.  CropLife America (http://www.croplifeamerica.org/) and CropLife Canada (http://www.croplife.ca) are members of the federation.

Drug Information Association (DIA) http://www.diahome.org/ The Drug Information Association (DIA) strives to maintain its position as the premier organization within the health care arena for the exchange and dissemination of information by continuing to provide a neutral forum, respecting and welcoming all participants, and offering quality-driven programming.  It will be utilized by its members for training toward excellence in the healthcare sector.  DIA will expand its organizational structure to support its global activities and achieve its mission.

International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER) http://www.isber.org Founded in 1999, the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER) provides a forum for repository management issues, including education in basic operations, regulatory requirements, technical information and vendor resources, as well as assistance with human subject and confidentiality issues.  Members of ISBER include managers of diverse governmental, industrial and private collections including blood banks, tumor banks, DNA banks, seed banks, cell culture collection, museum collections and environmental repositories.

National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC) http://www.naicc.org/ The National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC) is a national organization representing more than 100% independent crop consultants and contract researchers across the country.  Members are experts in crop care, integrated pest management, integrated crop management, and contract research (GLP) as well as applications in biotechnology and sustainable agriculture.  They are qualified by both education (minimum requirement for membership is a Bachelors of Science in an agricultural or related field) and specific experience (minimum requirement is four years) in agricultural research or in advising grower clients on how to integrate biological, cultural, and other alternative practices into their crop production programs.  Most members exceed these minimum requirements.

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) http://www.phrma.org Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), also known as the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association, represents the country’s leading pharmaceutical research and biotechnology companies, which are devoted to inventing medicines that allow patients to live longer, healthier, and more productive lives.  PhRMA’s mission is to conduct effective advocacy for public policies that encourage discovery of important new medicines for patients by pharmaceutical/biotechnology research companies.

Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS) http://www.raps.org/ The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) is the foremost worldwide member organization creating and upholding standards of ethics, credentialing and education for the regulatory affairs (RA) profession within the health product sector.  Founded in 1976, RAPS represents 10,000 individuals worldwide, working in government, corporations, academia, research and nonprofit organizations.

Safety Pharmacology Society (SPS) http://www.safetypharmacology.org The purpose of the Society shall be to promote the acquisition and utilization of knowledge in safety pharmacology and, in doing so, provide an interactive forum for advancement and exchange of information among its members and representatives from industry, academia, and government.

Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) http://www.setac.org/ The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is an independent, nonprofit professional society founded in 1979 to act as a forum for interdisciplinary communication among environmental scientists — biologists, chemists, toxicologists — and others interested in environmental issues such as managers and engineers.
